About this piece: Gaia or Gaea is a figure from Greek mythology. She is the primordial mother, the Earth, who emerged from Chaos at the beginning of time. Chaos contained all the basic elements, the four elements: earth, water, air, and fire. From this, Gaia, among others, emerged. Gaia, the goddess of nature, was depicted as a plump woman, often rising from the ground, always connected to it. According to Greek legends and myths, Eros led Gaia to connect with the water and the air, thus creating the sea (Pontus) and the sky (Uranus).
